N.I.S.T Traceable Calibrations

Heat Treating Services Unlimited, Inc. is accredited by the Laboratory Accreditation Bureau to perform ISO/IEC 17025:2005 calibrations in your facility or in our own in-house Metrology Lab. The Pyrometry Department uses the latest technology to perform calibrations, surveys, system accuracy tests and other critical requirements of AMS 2750, Boeing, NADCAP, CQI-9 and other customer specifications. On-line electronic paperwork reduces the length of time it takes to receive your reports and assures you will always be able to access them quickly. Whatever your quality system needs are, HTSU can help you satisfy your requirements.

  

Temperature Uniformity Surveys

Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) conducted by HTSU meet all requirements for AMS 2750, Boeing, NADCAP, CQI-9 and other customer specifications. Surveys are conducted with state of the art data collection instruments and are prepared digitally for our customer’s convenience. HTSU also maintains these records for 21 years.

  

Systems Accuracy Tests

System Accuracy Tests (SATs) conducted by HTSU meet all requirements for AMS 2750, Boeing, NADCAP, CQI-9 and other customer specifications.

Instrumentation Upgrades

Control System Trouble-Shooting

Heat Treating Services Unlimited’s field service technicians are well experienced in diagnosing control system malfunctions or deficiencies. Troubleshooting all types of systems and controls takes experience and training to enable a correct diagnosis. HTSU requires our technicians to attend regularly scheduled training which makes them efficient at troubleshooting and restoring your system to a proper working condition.

  

Electrical Panel Trouble-Shooting

As with all troubleshooting, it takes someone with knowledge, training and experience to know what to look for and how to correct problems with an electrical panel. Our engineers have over 35 years of experience assessing and valuing thermal process equipment. HTSU engineers have also worked with FAA and DOT Departments on eminent domain valuation and relocation projects. Do you want to know if a piece of equipment is worth upgrading? Smoke Curtailment Consulting

Do you have smoke coming from a furnace making for an unpleasant and unhealthy atmosphere? Our engineers will establish the sources generating the smoke and assess each source for needed corrective actions. The engineer will then present you with a corrective action plan that HTSU can implement or assist your personnel with its implementation.

  

Safety Programs

One day onsite is usually enough time to enable our engineers to determine your safety requirements. A program will then be designed specifically for your facility and equipment. Our safety experts design a program that assures compliance with such federal standards as NFPA and the required testing of gas trains as well as all other safety items. Classroom and on the floor training teaches your personnel the necessary steps to ensure compliance of these standards and create a safer environment for all.

  

Preventive Maintenance Programs

A preventive maintenance program is essential for safe, consistent heat treating. Programs designed specifically for your facility and your equipment are developed facilitating a schedule of PMs needed. Maintaining your equipment in good repair instead of repairing the equipment as needed creates a more efficient and productive department with fewer breakdowns HTSU can develop, in cooperation with safety, maintenance and furnace operators, and implement these programs by training your personnel or performing the service for you.

  

Training

HTSU has many training classes available in instrumentation and pyrometry , atmosphere troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Training your operators on furnaces such as batch equipment, continuous equipment, pit furnaces or ovens and tempers makes them better able to operate and maintain your equipment. Plant and maintenance safety training classes ensure that your personnel know how to comply with NFPA and other safety requirements. AMS 2750, CQI-9 and NADCAP trainings are essential for compliance with ISO standards.
